I enjoy researching my books almost as much as writing them. For my second family drama, Things We Cannot See, I spent some enthralling hours with two brilliant women . . . First a senior female police officer who in her own time (and usually over champagne or coffee with billowing sheets of butcher’s paper) helped me get the content and characters just right. Yes, the lead character in Things We Cannot see is a gutsy female copper.
And then Rose Price, highly respected psychologist, generously shared her time and knowledge in helping me shape Roger Grenfell, a fascinating character on the Autism spectrum who keeps everyone guessing.
If you thought What Matters Most was a compelling tale, wait for this one. Things We Cannot See will be officially released by HarperCollins Impulse on 1st January 2017. (But unofficially you can download it from 19th December. Oh – and you can pre-order now. Sssh . . . don’t tell anyone.)
