As far as I am concerned, Adelaide was totally drizzle and winter free last Friday -only because I spent the afternoon at the very cosy very posh Queen Adelaide Club. Amid gold satin drapes, dark polished furniture and starched napkins I drank champagne, ate Atlantic Salmon (with the most delicious sauce) and listened to Fiona McIntosh talk about her eye-wateringly hilarious journey from sales and marketing guru to top selling, globe trotting author. Only Fiona could wax lyrical about breasts and steamy sex within the confines of the Queen Adelaide Club and have everyone bent up with laughter, rather than being politely asked to leave.

If like me you are lucky enough to be invited as a guest to the Queen Adelaide Club… say yes!
And if you are ever given the opportunity to hear Fiona speak any time any place… well, just do it!
